Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6E <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: April 12, 2021 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: David Swearingen, Interim Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Public Works 2021 Capital Equipment Purchases <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $359,960.00 $319,069.18 Equipment Replacement Fund <br /> (2021 CIP) (Current) <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• Purchase of Public Works equipment including a portable message board, a portable <br />light tower, two-Groundsmaster Zero Turn 7210 mowers, and an Altoz TRX 766i <br />mower. <br /> <br />All items need a simple majority for action unless otherwise noted. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />At the March 15, 2021 Work Session, staff presented to Council the eight equipment items <br />included in the 2021 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for replacement or addition, consisting of <br />two pickup trucks, a plow truck, three mowers and two pieces of safety equipment. With <br />direction from Council following the Work Session, staff has gathered quotes for all of the <br />equipment less the replacements for Unit 210 and Unit 203. The replacements for those units will <br />be brought to Council for approval after the 2022 State Cooperative Contract has been finalized <br />(Approximately 45 days). Council has already approved the replacement of Unit 120, the 2011 <br />International Plow Truck with a 2021 Mack Plow Truck (Attachment E). <br />A brief summary of the equipment currently seeking approval is provided below with more <br />specific details. <br /> <br />
