STAFF COMMENTS – 4C

MEMORANDUM

DATE: June 28, 2021

TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers
Dave Perrault, City Administrator

FROM: Julie Hanson, City Clerk

SUBJECT: Night to Unite

Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source:
N/A N/A N/A

Council Should Consider
Each year the City Council supports the neighborhood Night to Unite effort by attending many
events that evening throughout the city.

Background/Discussion
Night to Unite will be held on Tuesday, August 3 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.

Individuals interested in hosting are encouraged to register their party by Friday, July 16, 2021,
in order to ensure a deputy visit. Registration can be completed online at
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NTU2021 or by visiting the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office
webpage, which has more information about the event itself in general. Please note we also have
this registration link as well as a link to the Sheriff’s Office page with more information on the
City’s website main page under News and Announcements.

Those who are registered to host a neighborhood gathering may be visited by community
officials, fire departments, and Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office representatives. Unfortunately,
due to COVID-19, Night to Unite was cancelled last year, and so many are looking forward to
resuming this important opportunity to meet their neighbors and members of the community!

A list of neighborhoods participating in Night to Unite will be sent to the City Council when it
becomes available to staff.

Budget Impact
N/A

Attachments
N/A
