<br />To view the final document, access adopted Resolutions via Arden Hills Public Laserfiche Weblink by visiting <br />cityofardenhills.org and clicking on Archived Documents under Helpful Links on our main webpage. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021-040 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF BONDING REQUEST <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Johanna Fire Department (LJFD) serves the cities of Arden <br />Hills, North Oaks, and Shoreview; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a 2018 long-range planning study noted that the LJFD was lacking <br />sufficient training, administrating, and operating spaces; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the study concluded that the LJFD needed a new headquarters to <br />provide sufficient space and improve response times in southern Shoreview and Arden Hills; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, a parcel has been acquired and a schematic design has been developed <br />for the new headquarters; and <br />WHEREAS, the design meets the department’s needs for the next 50 years using <br />green building practices; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Shoreview submitted an application on behalf of the cities of <br />Arden Hills, North Oaks, and Shoreview for $6.675 million to assist in the construction of a <br />new headquarters fire station for the Lake Johanna Fire Department. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills, Minnesota, that it formally supports the request for bond funding for the construction <br />of a new LJFD Fire Station. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />THIS 26TH DAY OF JULY, 2021. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />____________________________________ <br />ATTEST: DAVID GRANT, MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />__________________________________________ <br />JULIE HANSON, CITY CLERK
