At its June 28th Council Meeting, the Arden Hills City Council approved <br />a professional services agreement with Bolton & Menk for the Snelling <br />Avenue North Street and Utility Improvements Project. Bolton & Menk <br />was one of five consulting firms that submitted quality proposals for <br />consideration. <br />The scope of the project will include: <br />• Reclamation and resurfacing of Snelling Avenue North from 51 to <br />County Road E, Cummings Lane, and a short portion of Bussard <br />Court immediately adjacent to Snelling Avenue <br />• Watermain replacement along Snelling Avenue North from <br />Bussard Court to Lametti Lane <br />• Replacement of sanitary sewer at the crossing of Snelling Avenue <br />North at Skiles Lane <br />• Replacement of a section of storm sewer pipe at the east end of <br />Cummings Lane <br />• Pedestrian safety considerations along Snelling Avenue North <br />Informational meetings for the public are tentatively scheduled for <br />November 2021, with construction slated to begin April 2022. More <br />details on the project are available on the City’s Agenda Center online at <br />cityofardenhills.org/agendacenter. <br />A fall Cleanup Day event, held <br />by the City of Arden Hills at <br />the Green Lights Recycling <br />facility in Blaine, will be <br />scheduled for a date still to be <br />determined early this fall. <br />Arden Hills residents may drop <br />off otherwise hard-to-recycle <br />items such as household goods, <br />electronics, mattresses, and <br />other items (some free, and <br />some for a fee). Keep your eyes <br />on future newsletters and news <br />flashes for more information <br />soon! <br />Snelling Avenue North Street and Utilities <br />Improvements Project Awarded <br />Paving Project Completed on Fairview and Pascal Avenues <br />The Arden Hills Public Works <br />Department completed the In- <br />House Paving project, which <br />included milling and overlay of <br />Fairview Avenue from Gramsie <br />Road to Lake Valentine Road, <br />and Pascal Avenue from County <br />Road E to the north termini. <br />The process involved milling <br />of the top 2 inches of asphalt <br />and then applying a tack binder <br />material before repaving the <br />streets. Some curbs and storm <br />sewers were repaired, as well. <br />Thank you to the residents <br />affected for their patience during <br />construction. <br />Cleanup Day Coming <br />This Fall
