As a note, the height of the existing <br />grandstand and press box, from pavement to top of press box, is 40’-6”, higher than the proposed <br />scoreboard. <br /> <br />Ordinance 1250.05: <br />The proposed permanent scoreboard at Bethel University's stadium meets or satisfies the requirements <br />of City Ordinance 1250.05 generally as follows: <br />- The scoreboard will be utilized for game-related activities and not advertising or sponsorship <br />(see letter from Bethel University attached as part of this submittal). <br />- The scoreboard will face the field of play, away from the neighbors to the south/ west, and not <br />visible from adjacent public roadways. <br />- The scoreboard is similar to the scoreboards at Northwestern University and, more specifically, <br />the digital display scoreboard at Mounds View High School stadium. <br /> <br />Ordinance 1250.06: <br />The proposed permanent scoreboard at Bethel University's stadium meets or satisfies the requirements <br />of City Ordinance 1250.06 generally as follows: <br />- The permanent scoreboard field naming placard at the top of the scoreboard will be constructed <br />of finished metal and include the words "Bethel University". The naming placard does not <br />exceed 40% of the scoreboard area: <br /> Total scoreboard size: 17'9" x 31'-6" = 559.125 square feet <br /> Proposed naming placard size: 4' x 31'-6" = 126 square feet (or 22.5% of total area) <br />- The permanent scoreboard naming placard has no associated internal or external lighting. <br />Sincerely, <br />Bolton & Menk, Inc. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Jay Pomeroy, PLA <br />Principal Landscape Architect
