Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS – 9D <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: September 27, 2021 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Jessica Jagoe, Senior Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Planning Case #21-022 – Public Hearing Required <br /> Applicant: City of Arden Hills <br />Request: Zoning Code Amendment – Chapter 13 – Section 1325.07 Subd. 6.A <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• Planning Case 21-022 for an amendment to the language in Section 1325.07 Subd. 6.A of <br />the Arden Hills City Code to add language to the ordinance to allow chickens coops as an <br />accessory structure in the residential zoning districts and revisions to the City Code <br />amending Section 400.01, Definitions and adding language to Section 410.01, Subd. 3, <br />Chickens License. <br /> <br />Approval of a Zoning Code Amendment requires an affirmative vote of three councilmembers. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council was asked to hold the required public hearing for Planning Case 21-022 under <br />Agenda Item 8E. A full evaluation of the proposed amendment and supporting attachments are <br />included in the staff report under Agenda Item 8E. The remainder of this memo focuses on the <br />requested approvals, findings of fact and the staff recommended options and motion language. <br /> <br />Suggested Findings of Fact <br /> <br />The Planning Commission reviewed this application at their September 8, 2021, meeting and <br />have offered the following findings of fact for your consideration: <br /> <br />General Findings:
