Page 1 of 2 <br /> To view the final document, access adopted Ordinances via Arden Hills Public Laserfiche Weblink by visiting cityofardenhills.org and clicking on Archived Documents under Helpful Links on our main webpage. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SUMMARY ORDINANCE NO. 2021-008 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4, <br />ANIMALS AND PETS, SECTIONS 400 and 410; AND CHAPTER 1325, <br />ZONING CODE, SECTION 1325, OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE <br /> <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on September 27, 2021, Ordinance No. 2021-008 was <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota. <br /> <br /> NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, because of the lengthy nature of Ordinance No. 2021- <br />008, the following summary of the ordinance has been prepared for publication. <br /> <br /> NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the ordinance adopted by the City Council provides for <br />regulations related to the keeping of backyard chickens with in the City of Arden Hills. The ordinance <br />adopted includes the following: <br /> <br /> FURTHER, the Ordinance requires the following: <br /> <br />• provides additional definitions to Section 400; <br />• requires licensing for all chickens within the City of Arden Hills; <br />• sets forth the regulations, procedures and fees for licensing; <br />• adds performance standards such as no more than 3 chickens shall be housed or kept on <br />any one residential lot; <br />• requirements of a coop for housing the chickens, not housed in a residential dwelling or <br />detached garage; <br />• the minimum requirements and standards for the construction of the coop, the required <br />exercise yard, and the maintenance of the subject premise to be kept clean so as not to <br />attract rodents and control odors; <br />• violations of conditions housing chickens. <br /> <br /> A printed copy of the whole ordinance is available for inspection by any person during the <br />City’s regular office hours or on the City’s website. <br /> <br /> <br />
