Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS – 10A <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: October 25, 2021 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Jessica Jagoe, Senior Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Planning Case #21-024 – Public Hearing Required <br /> Applicant: City of Arden Hills <br />Request: Zoning Code Amendment – Chapter 13 – Section 1320.06 and 1325.05 <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• Planning Case 21-024 an application for an amendment to the language in Section <br />1320.06 and 1325.05 of the Arden Hills City Code to amend and strike language in the B- <br />2, General Business District and B-3, Service Business District regarding design <br />standards for building façade and setback requirements relative to front yard and parking <br />areas and authorize publication of summary ordinance. <br /> <br />Approval of a Zoning Code Amendment requires an affirmative vote of three councilmembers. <br /> <br />Approval for authorization to publish summary ordinance requires an affirmative vote of four councilmembers. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council was asked to hold the required public hearing for Planning Case 21-024 under <br />Agenda Item 9A. A full evaluation of the proposed amendment and supporting attachments are <br />included in the staff report under Agenda Item 9A. The remainder of this memo focuses on the <br />requested approvals, findings of fact and the staff recommended options and motion language. <br /> <br />Suggested Findings of Fact <br /> <br />The Planning Commission reviewed this application at their October 6, 2021, meeting and have <br />offered the following findings of fact for your consideration:
