SUMMARY ORDINANCE NO. 2021-010 <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE READOPTING AND <br />AMENDING LOCAL LODGING TAX <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on October 25, 2021, Ordinance No. 2021-010 was <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota. <br />NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, because of the lengthy nature of Ordinance No. <br />2021-010, the following summary of the ordinance has been prepared for publication. <br />NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the ordinance adopted by the City Council updates <br />and replaces Chapter 3, Licenses and Regulations, Section 380 -Local Lodging Tax. The <br />readopted ordinance includes the following: <br />•Imposes a lodging tax of 3% on lodging rentals to be charged and collected separately <br />by the Operator, with 95% of the tax proceeds to fund a local tourism and convention <br />bureau; <br />•Provides requirements and procedures of the Operator in collecting taxes, payment <br />and return of taxes, and consequences for failure to file a return; <br />•Outlines requirements of the City regarding tax administration, including <br />examination of returns, adjustments, notices and demands and sets forth the <br />regulations, procedures and consequences for violations; <br />A printed copy of the whole ordinance is available for inspection by any person during the <br />City's regular office hours or on the City's website. <br />APPROVED for publication by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, <br />this 25th day of October, 2021. <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />By�A�:aad�'.Li� David Grant, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br />Published in the Pioneer Press on October 28, 2021. <br />218079v3
