Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 2021 PMP Street and Utility Improvements – Payment No. 5 <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $3,807,000 $3,419,567.10 PIR, Special Assessments <br /> Utility Funds <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• Payment No. 5 for the 2021 PMP Street and Utility Improvements Project to C&L <br />Excavating in the amount of $224,807.62 <br /> <br />All items need a simple majority for action unless otherwise noted. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />On April 12, 2021, City Council approved Resolution 2021-021 Awarding the 2021 PMP Street <br />and Utility Improvements construction contract to C&L Excavating, Inc. <br /> <br />The project is approximately 95% complete with the utility improvements completed across the <br />entirety of the project. Concrete curb and gutter and driveway aprons have been constructed, the <br />street has been fully paved and the disturbed areas have been restored. Five percent of payment <br />is being withheld from the work completed in accordance with the contract documents as <br />retainage. Payment No. 5 is in the amount of $224,807.62, Bolton & Menk has provided a <br />recommendation to accept Payment No. 5 (Attachment A). Staff recommends that Council <br />approve Payment No. 5. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
