Public Works Director / City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Arden Manor Park (CDBG) & Floral Park Hardcourt Improvements <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $249,700 – Arden Manor Park $TBD CDBG Funds, PIR – Parks, <br /> $426,000 – Floral Park RCWD Grant <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />• Moving forward with the CDBG Arden Manor Park Improvements Project <br />• Moving forward with the Floral Park Hardcourt Improvements <br />• Combining projects to one project plan set <br />• Direct selecting HR Green for professional services <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />Arden Manor Park: <br />On April 12, 2021, City Council approved Resolution 2021-017 supporting the City’s application <br />for a CDBG funding opportunity for Arden Manor Park. Since then, staff received notice that the <br />application had been chosen for approval. The grant request was for $189,700 in grant funding, <br />in addition to $60,000 from the PIR Fund to make the following site improvements and replace <br />existing playground equipment: <br /> <br />1. Park site would be regraded to improve drainage and minimize localized nuisance flooding. <br /> <br />2. Sidewalks, pathways, and playground spaces would be reconfigured and reconstructed with <br />curbing and ADA access. <br />
