Get more tips on best <br />wood-burning practices from the Environmental Protection Agency: <br />epa.gov/burnwise/best-wood-burning-practices <br />October 11, 2021 Regular City <br />Council Meeting <br />All items were approved <br />unanimously by a 4–0 vote unless <br />otherwise noted (Councilmember <br />McClung excused absence). <br />• Held a public hearing <br />and denied a Preliminary <br />and Final Plat, Master <br />Planned Unit Development <br />and a Site Plan Review <br />for 3737 Lexington Ave <br />N and 1133 Grey Fox <br />Rd, for demolition of <br />the existing building, a <br />lot reconfiguration, and <br />construction of a 19,480 <br />sq. ft. ALDI’s grocery store <br />and a 5,300 sq. ft. building <br />with two proposed tenants <br />(3-1, Scott opposed). <br />October 25, 2021 Regular City <br />Council Meeting <br />All items were approved <br />unanimously by a 4–0 vote unless <br />otherwise noted. (Councilmember <br />McClung excused absence). <br />• Recognized State Senator <br />Jason Isaacson and State <br />Representative Kelly <br />Moller for their assistance <br />with the Lexington Avenue <br />Watermain Project. <br />• Approved appointment <br />of Jessica Jagoe to the <br />position of City Planner; <br />Ms Jagoe had been the <br />Senior Planner. Authorized <br />staff to begin the <br />recruitment process for a <br />Senior Planner. <br />• Approved appointment of <br />Grace Arel to the position <br />of Communications <br />Coordinator. <br />• Amended the Hotel/ <br />Lodging Tax Ordinance to <br />update language due to an <br />agreement with the Twin <br />Cities Gateway Visitor <br />Bureau to implement a <br />hotel/lodging tax on hotel <br />rooms beginning in 2022. <br />• Held a public hearing and <br />approved an amendment to <br />the language of the Arden <br />Hills City Code to amend <br />and strike language in the <br />B-2, General Business <br />District and B-3, Service <br />Business District regarding <br />design standards for <br />building façade and setback <br />requirements relative to <br />front yard and parking <br />areas. <br />• Held a public hearing and <br />approved an application <br />for a minor subdivision <br />between the properties <br />located at 3300 New <br />Brighton Road and 1893 <br />Beckman Avenue. <br />• Ordered a nuisance <br />abatement at 1465 Floral <br />Drive W. for excessive <br />vegetation growth not in <br />compliance with City <br />regulations. <br />For a complete listing of recent <br />City Council action, visit <br />cityofardenhills.org and click on <br />View Agendas & Minutes. <br />Jessica <br />Jagoe <br />Promoted <br />to City <br />Planner <br />Jessica Jagoe has been employed <br />by the City of Arden Hills since <br />May, 2021. Originally hired <br />as Senior Planner, Jagoe was <br />promoted to City Planner at <br />the October 25 City Council <br />Meeting. Jagoe graduated from <br />MN State University, Mankato <br />with a planning degree in Urban <br />and Regional Studies. She <br />previously worked for the City <br />of Little Canada and Chisago <br />County. She is married with two <br />children and resides in White <br />Bear Lake.
