Agenda Item 3-E <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: April 20, 2021 <br /> <br />TO: Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee <br /> <br />FROM: Joe Vaughan, Recreation Programmer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Park Benches Update <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />At the January 25 City Council meeting, the Council accepted a donation from the Arden Hills <br />Foundation for four new park benches. City staff identified four potential locations for new <br />benches, Attachment A, and presented them to the City Council. The following locations are <br />shown on the map. <br /> <br />1. Cummings Park north of athletic fields <br />2. Public trail northeast of Colleen Avenue <br />3. Perry Park near the dog park and playgrounds <br />4. Hazelnut Park along trail system <br /> <br />Recently, the City received another donation from the Arden Hills Foundation for a park bench. <br />The fifth park bench will be placed in the Crepeau Nature Preserve. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Attachment A – Park Benches with Proposed Locations <br />Attachment B – Bench Donation Thank You Letter
