Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> AGENDA ITEM – 1G <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: December 20, 2021 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Jessica Jagoe, City Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Sale of City Owned Parcel at 3588 Ridgewood Road <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider the Following <br /> <br />The City Council should discuss and provide direction on selling the City owned parcel at 3588 <br />Ridgewood Road. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />At the November 15th City Council Work Session, the Council directed staff to order the <br />appraisal for the property at 3588 Ridgewood Road. This information will be used as part of the <br />process in determining next steps in consideration of listing the property for sale. The appraisal <br />was completed by Ryan Valuations and will be provided under separate cover to the Council. <br />Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 13D.05, Subd. 3(c)(1)(2), city staff is recommending the <br />City Council close the work session meeting to discuss the appraisal data and potential asking <br />price of the property. <br />Subd. 3.What meetings may be closed. <br />(a) A public body may close a meeting to evaluate the performance of an individual who is <br />subject to its authority. The public body shall identify the individual to be evaluated prior to closing <br />a meeting. At its next open meeting, the public body shall summarize its conclusions regarding the <br />evaluation. A meeting must be open at the request of the individual who is the subject of the <br />meeting. <br />(b) Meetings may be closed if the closure is expressly authorized by statute or permitted by the <br />attorney-client privilege. <br />(c) A public body may close a meeting: <br />(1) to determine the asking price for real or personal property to be sold by the government entity; <br />(2) to review confidential or protected nonpublic appraisal data under section 13.44, subdivision 3; <br />and
