Agenda Item 4 - A <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE:January 19, 2022 <br />TO:Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee <br />FROM:Joe Vaughan, Recreation Supervisor <br />SUBJECT: Election of a Committee Chair and Reappointments <br />Background <br />There are four reappointments to the PTRC this year. Committee members Jill Anderson, Dan <br />Dietz, Marie Hinton, and Tim Nelson are all being reappointed to another three-year term. <br />In December of 2021, the PTRC Chair, John Van Valkenburg, term expired. The chair is <br />responsible for creating meeting agendas, presiding at meetings, and the reports and <br />recommendations to the City Council. The PTRC has nominated committee member, Maria <br />Hinton, to be the new chair of the PTRC. <br />Action Required <br />The PTRC must vote to elect a new PTRC chair. <br />Attachments <br />Attachment B – Reappointment Certificates
