Public Works Director / City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Mounds View High School Trail Improvement Project Safe Routes to School <br />Project Ownership resolution <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $N/A $N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• Resolution 2022-008 for the Mounds View High School Trail Improvements project <br />identifying the City as the lead agency and assuming operations and maintenance <br />responsibilities for the facility once constructed. <br /> <br />All items need a simple majority for action unless otherwise noted. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City partnered with the Mounds View School District and area residents to identify the safe <br />and continuous route connections to the high school as a priority. The project is not completely <br />funded, and the City submitted a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) grant for funds for the <br />construction of the Mounds View High School Trail Improvement project. A requirement of the <br />grant is the City is the sponsoring agency and that sponsoring agencies are responsible for the <br />constructed facilities. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The Mounds View High School Trail Improvement project was identified as a City priority
