<br />To view the final document, access adopted Resolutions via Arden Hills Public Laserfiche Weblink by visiting cityofardenhills.org and clicking on Archived Documents under Helpful Links on our main webpage. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2022-028 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AFFIRMING ALLOCATION OF AMERICAN RESCUE <br />PLAN ACT REVENUES <br />WHEREAS, on March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 was signed into <br />law; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has been informed that, under the Act, it will receive <br />federal funding in the amount of $1,123,530, with receipt of the first payment in 2021 and the <br />second half payment to be received in 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, under the Act, these funds can be used to replace lost public sector revenue <br />and to make necessary investments in water and sewer infrastructure; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been a priority of the City Council of the City of Arden Hills to repair <br />and/or replace aging transmission and distribution water mains due to deterioration and being <br />undersized to improve water pressure and prevent contamination due to leaks or breaks; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the understanding of the Arden Hills City Council that said <br />improvements are eligible activities from proceeds of the American Rescue Plan Act. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills, Minnesota, that it is the intent of the City Council to direct expenditures under the Act toward <br />repair and/or replacement of trunk and service water mains on the 2021 PMP Street and Utility <br />Improvement Project.
