'It -A II�)EN�HILLS CITY OF ARDEN HILLS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2022-028 RESOLUTION AFFIRMING ALLOCATION OF AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT REVENUES WHEREAS, on March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 was signed into law; and WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has been informed that,under the Act, it will receive federal funding in the amount of$1,123,530, with receipt of the first payment in 2021 and the second half payment to be received in 2022; and WHEREAS, under the Act, these funds can be used to replace lost public sector revenue and to make necessary investments in water and sewer infrastructure; and WHEREAS, it has been a priority of the City Council of the City of Arden Hills to repair and/or replace aging transmission and distribution water mains due to deterioration and being undersized to improve water pressure and prevent contamination due to leaks or breaks; and WHEREAS, it is the understanding of the Arden Hills City Council that said improvements are eligible activities from proceeds of the American Rescue Plan Act. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills,Minnesota,that it is the intent of the City Council to direct expenditures under the Act toward repair and/or replacement of trunk and service water mains on the 2021 PMP Street and Utility Improvement Project. The costs eligible from March 3,2021 to December 31,2021 are$522,781. ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 25th DAY OF APRIL, 2022.
