Public Works Director / City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Public Works 2022 Capital Equipment Replacement <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br />$42,000 <br />(2022 CIP) $41,418.50 <br />(After estimated auction) Equipment Replacement Fund <br /> <br />Council Should Consider the Following Actions <br />City Council direction is requested regarding the purchase of 2022 capital equipment items <br />identified in the Capital Improvement Plan. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The 2022 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) includes two equipment items for replacement, <br />consisting of a Toro Workman and a trailer. (Attachment A) <br /> <br />This work session item is to discuss the equipment currently scheduled for replacement in 2022. <br />A brief summary of the equipment is provided below and more specific details will be provided <br />as requested. <br /> <br />Unit 411 – 2001 Toro Workman Field Painter <br />The Workman (Attachment B) is currently 21 years old and is used very frequently during soccer <br />and softball season to stripe the fields. It has reached the end of its dependable useful life and <br />parts availability is limited. We have had a hard time sourcing parts for the engine, also the <br />painting pump needs to be rebuilt again, that kit is also on back order. <br /> <br />Unit 411 repair costs: <br />• 2018 - $1,700 <br />• 2019 - $ 825 <br />• 2020 - $ 885 <br />• 2021 - $1,200 <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM – 1C <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />
