ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION – JUNE 20, 2022 8 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Grant asked for an update on the City paving project. <br /> <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Swearingen said Public Works has been moving along <br />well with the paving. They will be starting at Tiller/Ingerson in the morning and then complete <br />the smaller area patches. They will be transitioning to phase II and have a more definite schedule <br />for crack sealing in late July, followed by chip sealing and fog sealing trails. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Miller stated they are going to start paving Old Snelling the <br />next week, and the curb is 90% done. There will be a small amount of pipe lining done before <br />they move on to the trail. <br /> <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Swearingen noted they have the same inspector on this <br />project that was on the 2021 PMP (Brian Schmitt from Bolton & Menk) and he is staying on top <br />of the contractor and coordinating with the City. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant said businesses on and around Lexington have been suffering due to the road <br />construction. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Miller said it may be mid-July before the northbound lane is <br />reopened. Private utility companies that were being dealt with include fiber, a gas line, power <br />feeds and with water conflicts. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant mentioned that he received correspondence from someone against the 25 mph <br />speed limit change. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Mayor Grant adjourned the City Council Work Session at 7:04 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />__________________________ __________________________ <br />Jolene Trauba David Grant <br />Deputy City Clerk Mayor
