Park Tours Continued.... <br /> Comments/thoughts from the Park Tours on August 26, 1997 • <br /> Floral Park <br /> * Temporary Fall soccer field possible if program needs the field <br /> * Trail area from Park to Briarknoll needs to be reconstructed so that it does not flood in the <br /> Spring and after heavy rains <br /> * Park is not as functional as it could be if redesigned; however, it does serve some passive <br /> recreation and picnic purposes <br /> Valentine Park <br /> (Get Ramsey County to patrol the area more during the summer months when the teenage kids <br /> hang out their) <br /> * add sideline and dugout fencing to protect kids from foul balls <br /> * center basketball hoop and add another hoop to the other side of the court <br /> * surface and paint basketball court <br /> * purchase a new swing area and surround with a border <br /> Arden Manor Park <br /> * keep trying to work with the owner and manager to correct the drainage problems at the park <br /> * take out tennis court and expand the basketball court <br /> * higher fence on both sides in back of the basketball hoop • <br /> * move play structure when new one is purchased to the area by the basketball court where it <br /> would be higher ground and not flood as easily <br /> * keep fence as is on north side so the new play structure is separated from the pond by the fence <br /> * new fence or fix fence along sideline of ballfield <br /> * add benches to ball field <br /> Royal Hills Park <br /> * add topsoil to entire ballfield site and reseed (done in fall so is playable next season) <br /> * fence/gate off entrance area <br /> * add sideline and dugout fence to protect players <br /> * possibly extend trail down the street side of the park <br /> * new fence along the outside of the park to stop balls from rolling into the wetland areas <br /> • <br />
