Park Tours Continued.... Comments/thoughts from the Park Tours on August 26, 1997 • Floral Park * Temporary Fall soccer field possible if program needs the field * Trail area from Park to Briarknoll needs to be reconstructed so that it does not flood in the Spring and after heavy rains * Park is not as functional as it could be if redesigned; however, it does serve some passive recreation and picnic purposes Valentine Park (Get Ramsey County to patrol the area more during the summer months when the teenage kids hang out their) * add sideline and dugout fencing to protect kids from foul balls * center basketball hoop and add another hoop to the other side of the court * surface and paint basketball court * purchase a new swing area and surround with a border Arden Manor Park * keep trying to work with the owner and manager to correct the drainage problems at the park * take out tennis court and expand the basketball court * higher fence on both sides in back of the basketball hoop • * move play structure when new one is purchased to the area by the basketball court where it would be higher ground and not flood as easily * keep fence as is on north side so the new play structure is separated from the pond by the fence * new fence or fix fence along sideline of ballfield * add benches to ball field Royal Hills Park * add topsoil to entire ballfield site and reseed (done in fall so is playable next season) * fence/gate off entrance area * add sideline and dugout fence to protect players * possibly extend trail down the street side of the park * new fence along the outside of the park to stop balls from rolling into the wetland areas •
