The motion was
seconded by Dorothy McClung and passed unanimously.
• COUNCIL REPORT
Council member Keim reported that there has been vandalism activity around Mounds
View High School again. The City is working with the class president and student
council members to prevent future vandalism.
The City will be contracting with BRW for engineering services for 1998. There have
been a number of problems with MSA/Howard R. Green so we will no longer be using
their services.
There was a joint City meeting with Shoreview,North Oaks, and Arden Hills about fire
service. Since all of these cities currently use the Lake Johanna Fire Department, the
intent is to work together to get the best service possible.
REVIEW PARK TOUR COMMENTS
The Commission had a discussion about the condition of the park areas that were toured.
Comments and suggestions from these tours will be incorporated into the long range plan.
The discussion then focused on what were priority improvements.
•
