The Arden Hills Parks & Recreation Department and the <br /> Arden Hills - Shoreview - North Oaks - Mounds View Chamber of Comm- <br /> erce are coordinating the beautification of County Rd. E ("Down- <br /> town Arden Hills) . We would like each business along County Rd. E <br /> to plant and maintain a flower "garden". If you have space, a <br /> flower bed is preferred. If space is limited, a planter would be <br /> great. The estimated costs are: <br /> Flower bed - 20' X 12' - Landscape timber & flowers - S150.00 <br /> Concrete Planters - Round or Square - flowers $10.00 <br /> Planters 12" X 22" $ 95.00 <br /> 18" X 24" 115.00 <br /> . 12" X 35" 120.00 <br /> 24" X 22" 135.00 <br /> Flower Garden information Meeting <br /> All businesses interested in learning more about the "flower gardens" <br /> are invited to attend an informational meeting: <br /> Monday - April 30th <br /> 8:30 A.M. <br /> McGuire' s - Coffee Shop <br /> Flower Garden Planting Party <br /> McGuire' s Inn and the Chamber of Commerce will be throwing a free <br /> Pancake Breakfast for all flower garden volunteers on Saturday, <br /> May 19th (8:30 A.M. ) at McGuire' s. After eating and instructions, <br /> the planting of flowers (green side up) will start at 9: 15 A.M. and <br /> be completed by Noon. <br /> The Parks Dept. will arrange to have soil, flowers, and other <br /> materials dropped off at the garden sites on May 19th. <br /> Businesses will be responsible for financing and supplying <br /> workers to plant and maintain their flower gardens. <br /> •Other interested volunteers are asked to call the Parks & Rec. Dept. <br /> at 633-5676 for planting assignments. <br /> Don' t miss the fun! <br /> • Help make Arden Hills a beautiful place to shop and live. <br />
