You can help your planet <br /> earth keep its environment clean by planting trees and seedlings in City parks and <br /> along City trails this Arbor Day. <br /> ARBOR DAY , SAT - MAY 5 , 10 AM T O NOON <br /> Tree planting volunteers (scouts, 4-H, Camp Fire, PTO' s, etc. ) call John Buckley <br /> or Cindy Severtson at the Parks Dept. , 633-5676 for Arbor Day assignments. <br /> C T TY—WIDE FLOWER GARD EN S <br /> Flowers brighten up the living space in Arden Hills. The Parks Dept. will be <br /> coordinating a City-wide flower planting campaign this Spring between May 15 and <br /> Memorial Day. The flower power campaign will have two emphases. <br /> GATEWAY GARDENS <br /> Flower beds will be prepared at the following gateway sites: City Hall, Hwy. 96/ <br /> Hamline, Hwy. 96/Lexington, Lexington/Co. Rd. E (McGuires) , Co. Rd. E/Old 10 <br /> (Lindey' s) , Co. Rd. E-2/Old 10. Other sites will include Hamline/Co. Rd. F <br /> and Co. Rd. D/Fairview <br /> The Parks Dept. will be responsible for preparing the flower beds, buying the plants . <br /> and watering the beds throughout the Summer. Flower volunteers are needed to adopt: <br /> a Gateway Garden and be responsible for planting the flowers and weeding the bed <br /> through the Summer. <br /> Flower volunteers please contact John Buckley or Cindy Severtson at Cite Hall, 633-5676. <br /> NET GHB O RHO O D F LOWER P O W ER C AM PA T GN <br /> The Parks Dept. is extending the flower campaign into the neighborhoods also. We <br /> are asking that all property owners plant flowers by their mailbox this Spring <br /> between May 15 and Memorial Day. Join in the magical miracle of turning Arden Hills <br /> into the "flower capital" of the State. Neighborhoods with the most flowers will be <br /> given recognition on Cable TV this August. <br /> Flower volunteers are needed to organize and encourage neighborhood "Mail Gardens" . <br /> Volunteers please call John Buckley or Cindy Severtson at 633-5676. <br />
