Reason <br />for new courts are: The High Sclzool presently has only four c�arts. Other schools <br />will not play Hic� School termis matrhes at Mounds View ber.ause of lack of cot�ts <br />for varsity matches and courts are badly in riced of repair. Present courts are laid <br />otzt ea.st and west making play difficult due to the sun. <br />option #1 s �«�rts S28o,o00 <br />Option #2 7 courts $255,000 <br />FL1Txi Raisirig Pr'ogr'ess to date: <br />- Liqht Brigade Yaas pledged $92,500 in matching fur�ds tawan� the <br />tennis project. <br />- School Baat�l is favorable taward cca�leting the project - <br />School District will provide so�ne fur�ds tc�r�l the new �-ts. <br />- Other local charities and service clubs are being asked to <br />s��ort the project. <br />- Ms . Inan ar�d Mr . HicJ�nan ask f inaricial support frcan the Park <br />Department. <br />$26,625 is allocated in 1993 for a single tsnnis oourt at Irigerson Park. 'Ihe Park <br />Cca�nitt�e would be interested in rea�ruling that this money be direct;ed towan3 the <br />Motux3s View courts if: A joint paaers agreement with the Srhool District oould <br />address the follawing aoncexr�s: <br />- Guarantee City use of �ts duririg non-srhool use. <br />- School District responsible for maintenanoe of oourt�s ar�d liqhting. <br />- School District re.sponsible for energy cost. <br />Ricace moved, secor�ded by Kreidler <br />agre�zt with the School District <br />the Douncil.
