MINUTES CF THE ARDE N HILLS PARRS & RECREATICN CCbKn 'E% <br /> TUESDAY, F'E MUMY 23, 1993, 7:30 P.M., CITY HALL <br /> CALL TO CRDER: <br /> one meeting was called to order at 7:25 p.m. by Chair Dave Sarni. <br /> ROLL CALL: <br /> Present: Chair Dave Sand, Mark Labine, Bill Guelker, Don Messerly, Mark Literski, <br /> Megan Riche. <br /> Also Present: Dennis Probst, Council Liaison; Cynthia sevextson, Program Director; <br /> Jahn Buckley, Park Director and Guest Greg Mack, Ramsey County Park Director. <br /> APPROVAL CIF MINUTES <br /> Minutes of the January 26, 1993 Minutes were approved as mailed. <br /> INIRCCUCTICN CF GREG <br /> Mr. Mack discussed, in broad terms, the Ramsey C=-fty Park budget and planning. He <br /> talked about the develcgnent of Island Lake Park and Lake Johanna. He said Tony <br /> Schmidt park is in the budget for 1994. He spoke about plans for trail expansions. <br /> He updated us with the latest information he had on TCAP. Dennis Probst shared with <br /> the committee the City's Planning Commissions Concept Developuent Plan. It is <br /> expected that some analysis will be conplete and c=vanted on by the federal <br /> goverrnnent by March 1, 1993. <br /> • CATH CF CtE'FICE <br /> Zhe oath of office was administered to Don messerly. <br /> coUN= REPCRT: <br /> Council Liaison, Probst, further elaborated on the concept for the TCAP. The City <br /> Hall and Public Works building plans are currently on hold until TC'AP is <br /> crystallized. <br /> PROGRAM REPCRT: <br /> Cindy Severtson gave the program report explaining new programs offered this spring <br /> in our brochure. Maps will be included in next quarter's mailings. <br /> MISC. ITEMS: <br /> Ice fishing - John Buckley reported on the 40th sportsmen Club's celebration. It <br /> was an apparent suers with pancakes, a medallion hunt, chili feed, <br /> sleigh rides, bonfire and storytelling. <br /> Mounds View High School tennis courts - The Light Brigade, Mounds View School <br /> District and Arden Hills would fund. We would have control of <br /> scheduling the use of the courts during non-school use and sLm ner <br /> hours. <br /> INGERSCN PARK ACCESS <br /> • John Buckley has continued to try to contact the owner of a lot that could be used <br /> for easement to park. <br />
