Approved: July 25, 2022 <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 11, 2022 <br />7:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor David Grant called to order the regular City <br />Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br />Present: Mayor David Grant, Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, David <br />Radziej, and Steve Scott <br />Absent: None <br />Also present: City Administrator Dave Perrault; Public Works Director/City Engineer <br />David Swearingen; City Planner Jessica Jagoe; Finance Director Gayle Bauman; and City <br />Clerk Julie Hanson <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />1.APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Radziej seconded a <br />motion to approve the meeting agenda as presented. The motion carried (5-0). <br />2.PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL <br />Mayor Grant commented he was made aware that anti-Semite literature was distributed in Arden <br />Hills and several neighboring communities. He reported these actions were hateful and <br />condemned by the City of Arden Hills. He explained such literature will not be tolerated by the <br />City. He explained the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department was aware of this situation and <br />would be investigating the matter further. <br />Chris Hughes, 3515 Snelling Avenue North, discussed the need for affordable housing within <br />TCAAP. He commented on the agreement that was previously considered and approved by the <br />Council with Alatus. He stated he was pleased that this agreement included more affordable <br />housing. He understood Ramsey County did not support the agreement between Alatus and the <br />City because they would like to see more housing units and even more affordability. He reported <br />the rejection was not unexpected. He stated when fully developed over 4,000 jobs will be created
