MINUTES
CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA
PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19, 1996
7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
ARMY RESERVE CENTER
(HWY 96 & LEXINGTON CLASSROOM)
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson, Megan Ricke called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present were Chair Megan Ricke, Anita Larson, Mary Robinson, Dorothy
McClung, Louis Speggen, Cindy Walsh, Parks & Recreation Director; and Tracy
Petersen, Program Supervisor.
Absent were Maureen Bodene, Lynette Kreidler, Don Messerly and Beverly Aplikowski,
Council Liaison.
• APPROVE MINUTES
Minutes recorded by Julie Tostenson. There was one change to the February 28, 1996
Minutes, Dorothy McClung stated that in the Council Report, referring to Highway 96,
there should be a sentence in there stating there was a discussion regarding connecting the
Arden Manor Trailer Park residents to the rest of the City by way of a trail along
Highway 96. That change was noted and the February 28, 1996 Minutes were approved
unanimously. Motion by Dorothy McClung and seconded by Mary Robinson to approve
the Minutes.
COUNCIL REPORT
Council Liaison, Beverly Aplikowski was absent.
PERRY PARK
Grand Opening
Cindy has informed the City Council, at their March Worksession, that the Committee is
planning a Grand Opening Ceremony for Perry Park on June 1, 1996. Since there is not
currently a budget, we will do what we can for free and find other possible revenue
sources.
