Proposed Amendment to the Rice Creek North Regional Trail <br /> Master Plan. <br /> Overview <br /> Ramsey County is requesting that the City evaluate a proposed park master plan amendment to <br /> the Rice Creek North Regional Trail Master Plan. In particular, it is necessary for the City to <br /> make a finding that the proposed park plan amendment is consistent with the Arden Hills <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Analysis <br /> Since the amendment was only received Wednesday November 13`h, 2002, a complete analysis <br /> of the proposed amendment cannot be provided. However, staff would make the following <br /> comments: <br /> 1. Land Use: The Future Land Use Plan identifies this area Park Preserve. This land use <br /> category includes natural and scenic areas that are to be preserved for public use. This is <br /> consistent with the proposed amendment. <br /> is slightly <br /> Parks and Trails: The recently adopted Parks, Trails, and Open Space Plan calls for a <br /> slightly different configuration for the trail.
