Minutes of Regular Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting, March 26
Page three
have asked Town Crier to publicize best dates for observing them.
He stated one resident bordering the park at Cannon and Dunlap seems to
have been cutting trees illegally in the park; another resident has his camper
on park property; Buckley will follow through on these problems.
Arsenal Ball Field
Letter has been sent to the Commander of the Arsenal by the Council stating
Village's interest in acquiring this property. Arsenal now requests a state-
ment of need from the Park and Recreation Committee; Buckley will prepare and
mail this information. Klick also suggested Committee members write
individual letters listing reasons for Arden Hills' need for this park land.
These letters may be addressed to: Mr. Theodore E. Schulte, Commander's
Representative, Twin City Army Ammunition Facility, Federal Cartridge Corpora-
tion, New Brighton, MN 55112.
Arsenal apparently has a June 1 deadline to take action on this; it seems
there is a high possibility of Arden Hills' acquisition of this land.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 9:59 p.m.
• Submitted by Shirley Marshall
THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE WILL BE HELD
APRIL 23, 1985, 7:30 P.M.
