• Minutes of Regular Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting <br /> Village of Arden Hills <br /> November 13, 1984 <br /> Village Hall <br /> Call to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7 : 38 p .m. by Chairman Sand . <br /> Roll Call <br /> Present : D . Sand , D . Kostishack, M . Gillies , J . Otto, T . Sather <br /> Absent : A . Anderson , G . Dreyling, D . Messerly , M . Wild, D. Klick , <br /> K . Enrooth , M. Peterson <br /> Also Present : Councilman T . Mulcahy <br /> Parks Director J . T.. Buckley <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> In noting the "Report from Subcommittee re Survey" in October <br /> minutes . Sand reiterated the committee 's request that a summary <br /> of the accomplishments of the Park Department, in construction and <br /> new facilities and in recreational programs , be included in the <br /> Town Crier, and a paragraph inviting citizen ' input as to what <br /> they would like in future park development . <br /> The minutes were approved as mailed . <br /> Council Report <br /> • Councilman Mulcahy reviewed election results with committee . He <br /> noted that issuance of industrial revenue bonds for construction <br /> of proposed veterinary clinic on County Road E , site of former gas <br /> station , had been approved by Council . He also noted that Council <br /> had held a work session devoted to establishing guidelines for <br /> approval of issuance of IRB ' s , and reviewing proposed amendments <br /> to the Zoning Ordinance . <br /> Fall Festival Report <br /> Buckley reported profits of $750 on the Festival , designated for <br /> use in the Crepeau Nature Preserve . Another is planned for 1985 . <br /> Committee expressed wish to meet with the planners of the Festival <br /> next year to explore areas in which they could assist , and to be <br /> able to have input as to designation for use of the profits . <br /> Buckley noted that addition of the Craft Fair helped keep a flow <br /> of attendees during the entire Fair; profits were lower than 1983 , <br /> mostly due to sale of fewer raffle tickets . <br /> Parkway Committee Report <br /> No additional meetings have been held ; committee will meet again <br /> when Planner Miller has more information to give them. <br /> Crepeau Park Program <br /> M . Gillies , reporting for Don Messerly , reported that the wild <br /> flowers have been planted . Approval was received from Rice Creek <br /> • for the earth dam, but with more excavation than had been planned , <br /> and installation of four culverts for spillway . Buckley will <br />
