Minutes of Parkway Study Committee Meeting <br /> Tuesday , October 9 , 1984 <br /> Page Two <br /> Additional Gateways <br /> During discussion the Committee suggested additional Village gateways : <br /> Highway 96 and Lexington Avenue <br /> County Road D and Cleveland Avenue <br /> Parkway Route <br /> Potential Parkway Route : <br /> - Lake Johanna Blvd . from County Road D to Old Highway 10 and <br /> Snelling Avenue <br /> - Old Highway 10 from County Road E to 694 <br /> - County Road E-2 from 35W to Old Highway 10 <br /> Committee discussion also added the following Potential Parkway <br /> Routes : <br /> Additional Routes : <br /> - Hamline Avenue from Highway 96 to 694 <br /> - County Road F from Hamline Avenue to Lexington Avenue <br /> • <br /> Parkways Bike Problems used for Parks Connections <br /> It was suggested that Arden Hills Parkways especially bike paths ) <br /> recognize nearby parks in adjacent communities and future regional <br /> parks such as Ramsey County Long Lake Park and Ramsey County Grass <br /> Lake Park . <br /> Consensus <br /> Through discussion the Committee did reach consensus to approve the <br /> proposed goals , objectives and potential suggested routes . <br /> Anticipated Problem <br /> Anticipated Parkway restrictions were discussed . The Committee <br /> quickly realized that development of a parkway system is a long term <br /> commitment of planning , time for development and finances . <br /> Short Term Goals <br /> Immediate impact could be accomplished by planning and developing a <br /> single gateway first , and also developing a small section of parkway. <br /> Suggestion for gateway - Lake Johanna Blvd . and County Road D <br /> Suggestion for small route - Lake Johanna Blvd . • <br />
