e <br />• 4. Hockey <br />Currently, Per�y Park and Freeway Park have hockey facititils. The <br />Johanna Middle School facility can be used only on weekends tor prnc- <br />tice. The Maunds Viear High School tacility is not in suTtable condition <br />for use. The Frserrsy Park hockey facility wifl not be used for League <br />games but ratt�sr for neighborhood activities and practices. We recom- <br />mend.a rink s��itabie for lsague games be added at Hazeinut Park where <br />parking could be avaiibbie at Trinity Church tsubject to negotlation). <br />We anticipate s maximum of three hockey areas wiil be needeG as A�der <br />Hilis bacart�es futiy developed. When the third rink becomes necessary, <br />we have several option: <br />1. lmpro�e the lighting at Jot►anna �liddie School. <br />2. Upgrade the lighting and boa�ds at Nbunds V(ew and add a <br />sheiter. <br />3. Add lights and shelter and make a temporary �1nk on the soft- <br />ba f( f( e 1 d at Curtrc i nQs Park. <br />4. improve llgf�ting and inLrease sh�+lter facilities at Perry <br />Park and ad� an addttional rink. <br />The specitic choice will depend upon Counci! action. Ftowever, in light <br />of past decisions, wa dre including the Curtxnings P�rk option in our <br />• recomn�2ndeo ten year plan. <br />5.
