• Minutes of Regular Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting <br /> Village of Arden Hills <br /> March 9, 1982 <br /> V1llage Hall <br /> Call to Order° <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chair Anderson. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Present: A. Anderson„ M. Bergene, J. Dreyling, D. Halva, P. Lippert, <br /> J. McTavish, T. Sather M. Wild <br /> Absent: C. Grudnoske, D. Kostishack, M. Olson, D. Sand <br /> Also Present: Mayor R. Woodburn <br /> Councilman D. McAllister <br /> Parks Director J. T. Buckley <br /> Approximately 20 Floral Park Neighborhood Residents <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Motion was mado by M. Bergane, seconded by D. Halva, that the minutes of <br /> February 9, 1982 be approved as railed. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Floral Park Nelahborhood <br /> Mr. Tuggle presented the: concerns of the neighborhood to the Parks and Recrea- <br /> tion Committee. Listed below are recommendations he will be making to the <br /> Arden Hills Viliage Council . <br /> • 1 . That the developer pay the total cost of the road. <br /> 2. That the developer be responsible for a full 10% park dedication In monies. <br /> 3. That the developer pay for the laud used for the road or donate additional <br /> land. <br /> 4. That the developer pay The cost of moving the play equipment and restoring <br /> the park, aad pay the cost of the losi` trees. <br /> 5. For safety of the children, they would like speed bumps on the road through <br /> the park, and a chain link fence along than north and east sides of the <br /> road. <br /> G. Restoration of park should be completed before ay construction is begun <br /> on any now home in the development. _ <br /> 7. If this road does go Ehnsugh the park, tha Parks Committee should beware: <br /> If the Council can see fit to do this to one park, it could happon to any <br /> park -- specific example,, the cul de sac can Wynridge Drive -- what would <br /> prevent a road being cut through there? <br /> Chair Anderson explained to the group that the Parks Committee Is an advisory <br /> committee to the: Council ; suggasted he present these concerns in a letter to <br /> the Council ; Parks Co;►I tree has already matte tha i r recommendations to Counc i l <br /> on the matter. <br /> Committee discussed where mon t as would course from for restoring the park; <br /> would probably use Park ma i€itenance department tabor, any needed capital ex- <br /> panditures would come from park dedication funds. <br /> oilCuurac i D Re-Ma t <br /> "Arden Oaks Development.
