Anderson, D. Kostishack, P. Lippert, T. Sather <br /> Absent : M. Bergene, J . Dreyling , C. Grudnoske, D. Hslva, <br /> J . McTavish, M. Olson, D. Sand, M. Wild <br /> Also Present- : Mayor R. Woodburn <br /> Councilman T. Mulcahy <br /> Parks Director J . T. Buckley <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Motion was made by T. Sather, seconded by D. Kostishack, that <br /> the minutes of September 21 be approved as mailed. Motion car- <br /> ried unanimously. <br /> Council Report <br /> - Council has approved a development agreement for Arden Oaks <br /> Addition - will be developed by Royal Caks (Marcel Eibensteiner) <br /> Instead of Derrick Land Company. The developer will grade the <br /> proposed park aroa in accordance with the Village' s wishes, to <br /> taken care of the sight line problems. Committee noted that if <br /> • elevation of the park is considerably higher than the street , It <br /> may be well to grade low(Ir fcr good overall appearance; Buckley <br /> was asked to inspect the site and monitor grading . <br /> 1983 Budget has been approved by Council as proposes at last <br /> ��7) Finance Committee meet 1 nca. <br /> ti <br /> \� Vi1iage Trailway Svstem <br /> Committee reviewed Buckley` s Village Trallway System report. <br /> Committee concurred with B►tck1ey ' s recommendation that home- <br /> oviners be asked not to plant shrubs, etc. on park property. It <br /> Is Park Department' s Inten4- to landscapes entrance to trails <br /> and appropriate areas aloncl trails In total plan. <br /> Trail posts should be placed at entrances to all trails, and <br /> at 200' to 300' Intervals ii l ong trail . Posts a l org trzs i l should <br /> probably have Identification markings on both sides of post. <br /> Buckley was asked to prepare plans and . cost estlm&tes for <br /> "floating bridges" to connoct Chatham trEi i t In extreme: l y low <br /> areas. <br /> Wood chips have not proven satisfactory as a trail surface; some <br /> of these surfaces will be :;oddcd , others allowed to return to <br /> grass surface and roguiar1 ,., mowed. 1t would appear more satis- <br /> factory to mark trail at i ►►tervals with concrete rounds in grass <br /> rather than using wood chips. <br />
