John also reported that <br /> over 00 evergreen seedlings and 75 Black Walnut tree seedlings <br /> had been planted in both parks . <br /> Round Lake Public Myetin <br /> The 0-committee for Round Lake County Park presented a written <br /> report containing their viows (see attached ) . During a very <br /> lengthy discussion of Committee ' s views , other issues were also <br /> • discussed such as -, <br /> ? . What is County ' s real reason for wanting land - more <br /> recreation than education? <br /> 2 . What controls would Village have? <br /> 3. What policing problems would result? <br /> 4. Why is Open Space so anxious to aquire property? <br /> 5 „ What would really happen to wild life In this area <br /> If guidod tours etc, were to take place? <br /> 6 . Was land around lako suitable for walking trail ? <br /> The Committee feels the County should make clear Its intention for <br /> this and follow up from ?here . Thore Sri ! ! have to be a satisfactory <br /> comprcmise brought forth to protect wild life and area. The Committee <br /> has a real responsibility io protect every area of Village and To <br /> be sen3itive to this typo of area, to help preserve it . <br /> A mo? ; on was made by C. Grudnosko , seconded by G. UpOn to request <br /> Co <br /> uncil to deny Ramsey County Open Space an area of 55 acres on The <br /> SOUK OnO of Rouna Lake . Vote was 2 for, 1 againsT, i abstainea. <br /> Motion did not carry . <br /> A motion was made by J . McTavish , seconded by R. Cadwell to send <br /> Kst ol concerns to Council for their comments .
