Public Works Director/ City Engineer <br /> SUBJECT: Snelling Avenue North Street and Utility Improvements— Payment No. 3 <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $1,497,000 $1,622,585 PIR, Special Assessments <br /> Future MSA, Utility Funds <br /> Council Should Consider <br /> Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> • Payment No. 3 for the Snelling Avenue North Street and Utility Improvements <br /> Project to T.A. Schifsky& Sons, Inc. in the amount of$329,676.32. <br /> All items need a simple majority for action unless otherwise noted. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> On April 11, 2022, City Council approved Resolution 2022-020 Awarding the 2021 PMP Street <br /> and Utility Improvements construction contract to T.A. Schifsky& Sons, Inc. <br /> The project is approximately 90% complete. The utility improvements have been completed, the <br /> trail has been constructed and the final paving course of the street has been placed. Still to <br /> complete is final restoration of the disturbed areas, striping and signage. Staff and the design <br /> team are currently working with the contractor on an option for curb installation on Cummings <br /> Lane. Five percent is being withheld from the work completed in accordance with the contract <br /> documents. Payment No. 3 is in the amount of$329,676.32. Bolton & Menk has provided a <br /> recommendation to accept Payment No. 3 (Attachment A). Staff recommends that Council <br /> approve Payment No. 3. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
