MINUTES OF THE ARDEN HILLS REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 1989, 7:30 P.M. - CITY HALL <br /> CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Chairman Probst <br /> called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL The roll being called the following members were present: <br /> Chairman Dennis Probst, Members Peter Martin, Raymond <br /> McGraw, Barbara Piotrowski, Dorothy Zehm and Jeanne Winiecki. Member Dave Carlson <br /> arrived at 7;40 p.m. Absent: Members Scott Petersen, Dan Ashbach, Robert Curtis <br /> and Robert Woodburn. Also present: Planner John Bergly, Councilmember JoAnn <br /> Growe, Clerk Administrator Gary Berger and Deputy Clerk Catherine Iago. <br /> REVISE AGENDA Chairman Probst advised Commission an additional item was <br /> placed on the 12-6-89 agenda as a referral from Council. <br /> The additional item is listed as: 6. CASE #88-14, Signage Plan Approval, Goodyear <br /> Service Center, 3757 North Lexington Avenue. <br /> APPROVE MINUTES Piotrowski moved , seconded by Zehm, that the November 1, <br /> 1989 Planning Commission minutes be approved as <br /> submitted. Motion carried. (Piotrowski, Zehm, Probst, McGraw and Winiecki voting <br /> in favor; Martin abstained) (5-0-1) <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CASE # 89-20; SUP Chairman Probst opened the Public Hearing at 7:34 p.m. <br /> SATELLITE ANTENNA, to consider the application for Special Use Permit to <br /> 4444 ROUND LK.RD. , allow a 6-ft.diameter satellite dish at 4444 Round Lake <br /> Road West, W.W. Grainger. <br /> • Deputy Clerk Iago verified that the Notice of Hearing was published in the New <br /> Brighton Bulletin on November 22, 1989 and mailed to affected property owners the <br /> same date. <br /> Chair Probst announced that the applicant has requested this matter be continued <br /> to the January 3, 1990, Planning Commission meeting. The public hearing was <br /> closed at 7:35 p.m. <br /> Member Winiecki stated she will not attend the January meeting and requested a <br /> study be conducted on the visual impact of the antenna on homes east of Round <br /> Lake and included in the administrative report; the report currently addresses <br /> the visibility of the antenna from Round Lake Road and I-35W. <br /> Martin moved, seconded by Zehm, that Commission continue <br /> the Public Hearing, Case 89-20, to the January 3, 1990, Planning Commission <br /> meeting, 7:30 p.m. , and that the Planner's report include a study of the visual <br /> impact of the antenna on homes east of Round Lake. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> (6-0) <br /> CASE #89-21; SITE Planner Bergly referred to his report dated 12-6-89, <br /> PLAN REVIEW, 3771 relative to the Site Plan Review for the proposed <br /> LEXINGTON AVENUE, shopping center at 3771 Lexington Avenue, Scott Roberts, <br /> ROBERTS DEVLPMT. Roberts Development. <br /> Bergly stated the developer is proposing a two-stage submission procedure for the <br /> • site plan review for potential use of this site. He explained this procedure <br /> allows the Commission to respond to the basic questions of the development <br /> concept before the developer has invested in detailed building and site planning. <br />
