Public Works Director / City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Snelling Avenue North Street and Utility Improvements — Payment No. 4 <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />$1,497,000 $1,622,585 PIR, Special Assessments <br />Future MSA, Utility Funds <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Payment No. 4 for the Snelling Avenue North Street and Utility Improvements <br />Project to T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. in the amount of $79,756.80. <br />All items need a simple majority for action unless otherwise noted. <br />Background/Discussion <br />On April 11, 2022, City Council approved Resolution 2022-020 Awarding the 2021 PMP Street <br />and Utility Improvements construction contract to T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. <br />The project is substantially complete. The utility improvements have been completed, the trail <br />has been constructed and the final paving course of the street has been placed. Still to complete is <br />final restoration and punch list items that will be completed Spring of 2023. The retainage will <br />be reduced to 3.5% with this payment and withheld until the work is completed in accordance <br />with the contract documents. Payment No. 4 is in the amount of $79,756.80. Bolton & Menk <br />has provided a recommendation to accept Payment No. 4 (Attachment A). Staff recommends <br />that Council approve Payment No. 4. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
