CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />2023 BUDGET <br />Function: General Government Fund # 603 <br />Activity: Recycling Activity # 49520 <br />Activity Scope <br />The City contracts with a private company to pick up recycling for residents within the City. The City of Arden <br />Hills participates in a Joint Powers Agreement with Ramsey County to assist with funding the residential curbside <br />recycling program. The County Department of Property Taxation directly places a city recycling fee on residents' <br />property tax statements. Ramsey County then collects the fees and distributes them to the City with the July and <br />December tax settlements. Charges for recycling costs to residents include all costs associated with recycling <br />including clean up days. <br />Objectives <br />Provide efficient and cost effective recycling for the residents of Arden Hills. <br />Issues <br />Budget constraints <br />Budget Commentary <br />The 2023 operating budget is a decrease of 1.6% from the previous year's budget.
