ARDEN HILLS PARKS, TRAILS & RECREATION COMMITTEE 3 <br /> Council Liaison Larson reviewed the development outcomes Council has agreed upon <br /> with the Committee. <br /> DATE/TIME OF NEXT MEETING <br /> By consensus, the next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at <br /> City Hall. <br /> AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING <br /> Parade <br /> Buck Thorn Removal Program <br /> Comprehensive Park Plan Update <br /> OTHER ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> Committee Member Crassweller suggested having something at the Parks, Trails & <br /> Recreation booth to draw residents to it. He then suggested handing out cups of water to <br /> residents as away to get them to come to the booth. <br /> Committee Member Tix suggested trail maps made into magnets to hand out. <br /> Ms. Olson agreed to look into the cost of the magnets. <br /> Mr. Moore explained he planned to have the tents placed strategically around the park <br /> near the activities rather than in just one place. <br /> Committee Member Crassweller suggested setting up a basketball hoop and free throw <br /> line to let people shoot until they miss and list the names of those making the most free <br /> throws in a row. <br /> Committee Member Zilmer asked how prizes would be funded. <br /> Mr. Moore explained there is a City Events Task Force in charge of raising money for <br /> prizes. <br /> Acting Chair Messerly stated the people working on the 50`h Day in the Park Committee <br /> have put in a lot of hours. <br /> Committee Member Tix asked why Ingram was running behind schedule. <br /> Mr. Moore indicated there is a problem with the City being able to coordinate the <br /> facilities with the dates Ingram has available. <br /> Committee Member Tix suggested meeting in the parks if need be to stay on schedule. <br />
