Public Works Director / City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Parkshore Exercise Station Trail Loop – Official Name Discussion <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $ $ <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br />Council should consider the Official Name of the nearly complete trail loop off of Parkshore <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Background/ Discussion <br />As part of the Trident Development, Round Lake Senior Living facility, an exercise trail loop <br />(Attachment A) is nearing construction completion. Upon completion and acceptance, the City <br />will assume ownership. Currently, this trail has been referred to as the Parkshore Exercise <br />Station Trail Loop. Per the construction plans, the City is to provide the Park Identification Sign. <br /> <br />At the December 19th, 2022 Work Session, the PTRC presented their suggested names but due to <br />time constraints this specific item was not discussed. These are the names that were submitted by <br />PTRC members: <br /> 1. Exercise park and trail <br />2. Workout park and trail <br />3. Keep-fit park and trail <br />4. Fitness Park and Trail <br />5. Round Lake Fitness Park and Trail <br />6. For Your Health Park and Trail <br />7. Name the trail the length of a certain number of laps: 1-mile trail, 2k trail, etc. <br />8. Round Lake Park and South Shore Trail <br />9. Boot Camp Park and trail
