Floral Park Improvements Online Survey Results <br />16 <br /> <br />w. Walking path <br />x. Improvements to the walking trails. More trash and dog poop bag stations on the <br />trails. Much more park and street lighting to keep people out of the park after dark. <br />Also, lots more parking direction signs on the street - too many people park in both <br />sides of the street. <br />y. I love the trails, including the unpaved ones. <br />z. More butterfly gardens <br />aa. Tennis courts need to be resurfaced; the path around the park could be re-done, the <br />picnic shelter needs to be replaced/is damaged, picnic tables are old and icky. Also, <br />there should be some wood chips or something under the play structure. A seasonal ice <br />rink would be so nice in this area! <br />bb. My 4yo said to ask for a skate park like shoreview community center and a swimming <br />pool. I told them I wouldn’t hold my breath but would relay the request. Haha! <br />cc. Keep it clean and patrol it often to keep people away that use the park for mischief. <br />dd. Improve the trails and thin out underbrush in woodland areas. <br />ee. Bases for the baseball diamond and some soccer nets in the field. <br />ff. Resurface paths. Improve walking paths in woods. <br />gg. Water fountain or place to fill up water bottles, activities for all ages, bouncy rubber <br />flooring (similar to the park by the shoreview community center) <br />hh. I would like to see the street parking for the park to be on the park side of the road so <br />the kids don’t have to cross the street. It is so dangerous especially since it’s on a curve. <br />You can’t see when cars are coming. <br />ii. These improvements would greatly enhance the park <br />jj. Removal of dead trees and invasive plants. Doggie bags and area to dispose if waste. <br />Off leash dog area. <br />kk. Pickleball <br />ll. The park is excellent for me as is. I use it mainly for walking. I used to use the tennis <br />courts, but have not used them for several years. My only requests would be to extend <br />the porta potty season by a month in fall and spring and to improve the northwest trail <br />entrance. It is steep and very hard to use when covered with ice/snow. A handrail <br />would help a lot. Maybe it could be re-graded to make it less steep. <br />mm. A lot of people already treat the open field like it is an off leash dog park so it <br />would be nice if there was an actual dedicated dog area. I would like to be able to send <br />my kids with our leashed dog there without worrying about off leash dogs. <br />nn. Na <br />oo. Would love for the basketball court/hoops to be redone and for soccer goals to be <br />added to baseball field area <br />pp. Security cameras <br />qq. More mulch on paths through wooded areas. <br />rr. Anything that will be more inclusive/experience enhancement for those with <br />disabilities. <br />ss. not to expensive <br />tt. The walking path is falling apart and needs to be redone. The walking path is a great <br />way to keep the community active and social. Around the playground it would be nice to
