∙ Reach. A hydraulic engineering term to describe a longitudinal segment of a stream or
<br />river influenced by a natural or man-made obstruction. In an urban area, the segment of a
<br />stream or river between two consecutive bridge crossings would most typically constitute
<br />a reach.
<br /> ∙ Recreation, commercial. Recreational facilities which are operated for profit or render
<br />a service which is customarily considered as a business.
<br /> ∙ Recreation, residential. Play apparatus such as swing sets and slides, sandboxes, poles
<br />for nets, picnic tables, lawn chairs, barbecue stands, and similar equipment or structures,
<br />when used on residential property, but not including electronic towers, tree houses,
<br />swimming pools, playhouses exceeding twenty-five (25) square feet of floor area, or sheds
<br />utilized for storage of equipment.
<br /> ∙ Recreational vehicles (RVs). Vehicles for recreational or utilitarian uses that can be
<br />driven, towed, or hauled. Including, but not limited to, motor homes and travel trailers,
<br />snowmobiles, pull campers, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), tent trailers, or other similar

<br /> ∙ Recreational vehicles (for the purposes of Section 1335 only). A vehicle that is built on
<br />a single chassis, is 400 square feet or less when measured at the largest horizontal
<br />projection, is designed to be self-propelled or permanently towable by a light duty truck,
<br />and is designed primarily not for use as a permanent dwelling but as temporary living
<br />quarters for recreational, camping, travel, or seasonal use. For the purposes of Section
<br />1335, the term recreational vehicle shall be synonymous with the term travel trailer/travel

<br /> ∙ Recreational Vehicles, Utility Trailers, Riding Lawn Mowers, and Watercraft Height.
<br />The distance as measured from the ground to the highest point of the recreational vehicle,
<br />utility trailer, or watercraft, including any covering, as stored. This does not including
<br />antennas and utility/mechanical systems provided they are accessory and take up no more
<br />than ten (10) percent of the roof surface area. RVs and watercraft on a trailer shall be

<br /> ∙ Regional flood. A flood which is representative of large floods known to have occurred
<br />generally in Minnesota and reasonably characteristic of what can be expected to occur on
<br />an average frequency in the magnitude of the 100-year recurrence interval. Regional flood
<br />is synonymous with the term "base flood", 1 percent annual chance flood, or 100-year
<br />elevation.
<br /> ∙ Regulatory flood protection elevation. The regulatory flood protection elevation shall
<br />be an elevation no lower than one foot above the elevation of the regional flood plus any
