lt <br /> EN HILLS <br /> Approved: March 13, 2023 <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> MARCH 7, 2023 <br /> IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING <br /> JOINT DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (JDA) CHAIR INTERVIEWS <br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor David Grant called to order the Special City <br /> Council meeting at 7:18 p.m. <br /> Present: Mayor David Grant, Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Emily Rousseau, <br /> Tena Monson and Tom Fabel <br /> Absent: None <br /> Also present: City Administrator Dave Perrault <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> 1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Fabel moved and Councilmember Monson seconded a motion <br /> to approve the meeting agenda as presented. The motion carried (5-0). <br /> 2. NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. Appointment of Joint Development Authority (JDA) Chair <br /> City Administrator Perrault stated that the Council had conducted interviews of the two <br /> candidates, Paul Vijums and Jonathan Wicklund, immediately prior to the special City Council j <br /> meeting. He indicated that Council could have more discussion or make a motion for approval for <br /> the appointment of a candidate to the position of JDA Chair for a term ending December 31, <br /> 2024. <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Fabel moved and Councilmember Monson seconded a motion <br /> to approve appointment of Jonathan Wicklund as the Joint Development <br /> Authority (JDA) Chair for a term ending December 31, 2024. A roll call vote <br /> was taken. The motion carried 3-2 (Mayor Grant and Councilmember <br /> Holden opposed). <br />
