Sanitary Sewer Manhole Inspections are completed within the third of the city that is being cleaned <br />each year. Below are a few items that Staff are looking for during a manhole inspection. Through <br />inspection activities, a report is prepared annually to evaluate maintenance activities and goals for <br />future projects. <br />x Adjusting rings, mortar, or any other concrete repairs needs. <br />x Evidence of inflow and infiltration (I and I) <br />x Tree root intrusion and the overall condition of the structure. <br />Annual Sanitary Sewer Cleaning- <br />x The below map indicates the sanitary sewer segments (shown in green) that PW cleans on an <br />annual basis due to excessive buildup, low flow, or flat grade that causes the line to require <br />additional service each year.
