The vegetated shallow
depression is designed to capture and absorb rainwater. The soil in your rain garden removes
pollutants like phosphorus, nitrogen, and heavy metals from the water.
In the spring: Prune dead vegetation; Cut or divide plants
that have grown too large; Remove sediment or leaves that have accumulated around plants and
where water enters the garden; Pull weeds as needed; Add plants, if desired; Add shredded hardwood
mulch to maintain a 3” layer.
More rain garden information
is available at cityofardenhills.org/113/Rain-Gardens.
Soliciting in Arden Hills
Vendors that wish to go door-to-door to promote their business are required
to obtain a license from the City Clerk.
