Attachment C <br />Request for variance. 3/7/2023 <br />1) Requesting a variance from the setback requirements to add a garage stall to the single family home <br />at 1475 Dawn Circle. <br />The owner would like to add an attached garage stall to the existing house as the current garage is <br />inadequate for their needs. The current garage cannot fit both of their cars because of how the steps <br />into the house are arranged. <br />It is difficult to add a usable garage stall to the house because of the pie shape of the property and the <br />setback requirements. <br />The variance request is in keeping with the intent of the ordinance as it will maintain a 10' setback and <br />the average of the protrusion into the setback is less than the required setback. (Only a corner of the <br />proposed garage addition protrudes into the required setback.) <br />The land use will remain unchanged. <br />The variance requested is in keeping with the character of the city and is not being requested for <br />economic reasons. <br />
