<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO, 71-52 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT AS IT RELATES TO <br />COMMUNITY ONE, INC. PROPOSED YOUTH CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Arden Hi lis pursuant to Resolution <br />No. 71-33 declared its Intention to help provide for teenage <br />residents of District No. 621, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a group of citizens known as Community One, Inc. <br />has encouraged and promoted the establishment of a center for <br />social, cultural and recreational activities of young residents <br />of Independent School District No. 621, which center wll I be <br />known as a Teen Center and wi II be operated by the Youth Services <br />Bureau, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the use of I and and bull dings for such Teen Center <br />has been provided by Independent School District No. 621, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Youth Services Bureau has obtained sufficient <br />financial support to operate such Teen Center except for the cost <br />of h I r I n g a f u I I - time dire cto r, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties to this agreement desire to provide the <br />funds necessary to hire a full-time director for such Teen Center, <br />and to establish terms and conditions to Implement such desire, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed contribution by the Village of Arden Hills <br />amounts to $1,200.00, and <br /> <br />., <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Arden Hi lis after <br />reviewing the proposed Joint Power Agreement concur with Its <br />contents, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Councl I of the Village <br />of Arden Hi I Is that the Mayor be authorized and Is hereby ordered <br />and directed to execute the attached Joint Powers Agreement by <br />and for the V I I I age 0 fAr den H i I Is. and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That $600.00 be remitted to Community <br />One, Inc. on the effective date of this agreement with the remaining <br />$600.00 six months after the effective date of this agreement and <br />the Clerk Administrator Is hereby ordered to effect the above stated <br />contributions. <br /> <br />Adopted this 25 day of October 1971. <br /> <br />He n ry <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Lorraine Stromquls <br />Clerk Admlnistrato <br /> <br />(SEAL> <br />
