<br />r' <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />"..-.". . <br /> <br />t-., <br /> <br />~,,- .. <br /> <br />'-~~:~'tt~,-.~~,,~~\. . <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71-20 <br />VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />RELATING TO NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY <br />ELECTRIC RAT~ INCREASE <br /> <br />. , <br /> <br />, <br />.., <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Northern States Power Company Is the supplier of <br />electrlc,servlce In this community, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the rates and charges of Northern States Power <br />Company for electric service are not subject to effective <br />regulation on a state or regional level, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Northern States Power Company has announced a <br />general rate Increase for electric service of approximately <br />eight percent (8%>, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Councl I believes that the basis for such <br />Increase should be subjected to a detailed analysis by <br />persons ski lied In utility rate-making, to provide assurance <br />to the Village and to other consumers of electricity that the <br />rates and charges of Northern States Power Company are <br />Justified, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council believes that Northern States Power <br />Company should be willing to submit to such an examination of <br />Its rates and charges, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the costs of uti I Ity rate analysis Incurred In <br />behalf of the public are customarl Iyborne by the uti Ilty being <br />regulated; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEO by the Village Council of the <br />Village of Arden Hills, Minnesota, as follows: <br /> <br />I. This Council objects to any Increase In the electric <br />rateS of Northern States Power Company In th Is commun I ty <br />untl I such time as Northern States Power Company submits <br />to a deta11_d professional analysl~ of such rate Increase, <br />by such persons, acceptable to this Council with the costs <br />of such analysis being borne by Northern States Power Company. <br /> <br />2. A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to Northern States <br />Power Company with the request for a response from Northern <br />States Power Company. <br /> <br />Passed this lOth day of May, 1971. <br /> <br />Offered by: E.
